What We Believe As A Ministry

We Believe...

That God is God and we should serve no one else above Him. That He is fully expressed in the revelation of Three distinct, yet separate People. The Trinity. God the Father, Jesus the Father, and Holy Spirit the Father. Simply put, that is the best way to explain it. And no, we don’t have to understand it, He is God. (1 John 1:1-3, John 15:26, Matthew 28:19, John 16:7-15)

The Bible, Holy Scriptures, is the Word of God without flaws. It is inspired and written by God. It is that by which all morality and standards should be guided. It is that which leads us to an encounter with the Trinity. It is the revelation of real love and truth. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Matthew 24:35)

Jesus was, indeed, born of a virgin. A woman who had had no relations prior to this. (Matthew 1:18-25. Luke 1:26-35)

Mankind was created in the image of God. Perfect. But he chose to disobey God and that perfection was taken away through this transgression. Sin. His spirit died within him. So God, merciful, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for that sin. Jesus, being without sin, died the perfect sacrifice on the cross in order for us to obtain redemption we otherwise could not. (Genesis 2:16-17 and 3:6-7, 1 Corinthians 15:21-22, 1 Peter 2:21-25)

We as humans are lost to sin. There is nothing we can do on our own. However, Christ bled and died on the cross in order to pay that needed cost. Literally, He died instead of us. He paid the cost for our sins and we can be saved from death and hell if we accept Him as our substitute. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:10-24, John 14:6)

Water baptism, as commanded in scriptures for all who turn away from their sin and follow Jesus, believing He is who He says He is. The Christ. The Messiah. (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Matthew 3:13-17)

The “Baptism in the Holy Spirit” is a separate and different level of knowing God. It is freely given to all who will seek it earnestly. Which gives way to, but not required of, the gift of Speaking in Tongues. (Acts 2:4, 8:15-17, 10:44-48, 19:1-6)

The Church is the demonstration of God to a spiritually lost and dead world. We are a Body that walks in the power of the Risen Savior. Gifted by Christ and the Holy Spirit to represent God to the lost He so desperately loves. (Ephesians 3:9-11, Philippians 2:14-16, Matthew 16:18-19, Ephesians 4:11-16)

The “Five-Fold” ministry of the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors/Shepherds, and Teachers that were gifted to the Church by Christ Jesus are still active and emerging. They are in place to lead, guide, mature, teach, and equip the Church for the work of the Kingdom of God. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

Worship is an integral part of who we are as the Church. We are called to give God what is due Him by praise and worship. So done in Spirit and in truth. This is an effective and powerful ministry to the saints as well. (Colossians 3:16-17. Ephesians 5:17-20, Psalm 149, 150)
